Greasing my Seals
Halfords sell this.
http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/...tegoryId_165705
Is this the stuff I want to use on my rubber seals?
or should I look for some ShinEtsu (sp?) stuff?
Or is it all the same thing?
Going to try and do it this afternoon as the weathers nice.
(It hasn't rained once since I bought the S, I have no idea if it leaks.)

It can't hurt but I suspect you'll find you have to apply it frequently to the roof seals if it's to offer any protection.
The Shin Etsu is a grease in a tube but Seaman Sub (from diving shops) works as well.

I've greased my rubbers and left the roof down overnight so they could air and reshape.
Firstly, the wind noise is gone or vastly reduced- it's hard to tell if it will get any better with new strikers.
Secondly, does the grease get absorbed eventually? or will my seals be forever sticky?
Should I rub the surpless off ?

Ive just done mine, rub it all in with your fingers then rub off the surplus with an old rag but dont rub too hard and leave a film on the seals. The grease will eventually be absorbed and the seals will remain tacky to the touch.

You can use the Halford stuff on all the rubber seals.
I'd go for a grease rather than aerosol.
It's easier to apply with out getting it where you don't want it!
I find rubbing it in with a pair of gloves on makes it absorb better, leave it 30 mins then wipe the excess off with a lint free cloth.
