After giving myself a scare on Saturday (Blazing around a corner at speeds Mr. Plod would not approve of and seeing high Vis stripes on a bridge above nearly gave me a heart attack until I saw it was an ambulance) I'm beginning to think of getting some in car electronics gizmos.

Thinking I might have a look around for a good combined GPS/Laser/Radar detector. Any recommendations?

Also whilst thinking about it Ihad a glance at Sat-nav systems. Anyone know any company's that do a combined sat-nav/GPS/Laser/Radar detector system?

Can't go wrong with the B2 (unless you get done at night by an unmarked rozzer who's been following you for 3 miles at 130mph!)

B2 is good. The radar add-on is not available yet and will not be out till about March (the date keeps getting put back)

The new Snooper S4 is excellent, and you can add a radar detector to it as well. This one doesn't need any installation so it's good if you want something portable to use in other cars, whereas the B2 needs a bit of time spent hiding the cables behind the dash and can't be moved.

www.radardetectors.co.uk are the only people I found selling the S4 radar add-on.

B2 looks like a favourite. Plus the delay will allow me to get funds in order after the xmas blitz

Unfortunately won't be able to connect it to PDA as I'm a luddite when it comes to them. I'd probably kill it inside of 10 minutes of owning it (left in an engine/left on the shop floor to be nicked/dropped in a coolant pit) so I'll have to eithwer buy two seperate systems or hold out for a combined unit
