finally got the noise sorted at last.
Went back to the dealers in basingstoke a month or so back to have the top adjusted. Took the car away after about 1hr and they had made adjustments that reduced the excessive wind noise at the passenger roof catch by about 50% of what it originally was! I was pleased with this as it was beginning to sound like the window was permanently open by a fraction - which it wasn't!
The weather has been good and dry since then but about 10 days ago we had some really bad rainfall and OMG, the roof was now leaking at the passenger roof catch area onto the seat. I put a towel down after drying up to help keep the car from becoming water damaged but the seat still started growing its own winter coat right away. I made an appointment at the garage that day (saturday) but couldn't get in till thursday - a good few bad rainfall days later!!!!!
3hours with the garage and i again took it away - they had cleaned - dried and protected the seat plus redone some seals and re-reseated/adjusted the roof.
No niggles, rattles, wind noise or leaks at all - the roof now fits like the proverbial glove
I can now hear pauls rear speakers he gave me - ty Paul! they are much more quiet than the front so some fade and a bit more volume and they sound fantastic. MP3 player wired in too via the SNHOND3 and I am happy like the proverbial pig!!!!
