Got my car back after having the front bumper smoothed
#32
After reading through, the new MOT is just sharpening up and saying if its fitted it needs to work - so if the lights have washers they need to work - they are not going to be able to get the full specs of each car and figure out what the car came with - so I think if your bumper is smoothed - all is well!
the number plate on the other hand...well we will just have to wait and see!

Heres a video of anyone thinking of getting one.
You can just see the fron of the black runner shows a little. I might move mine back a few more mm. Moving it back though will cause the plate to angle down slightly, I think this should be fine for the road though, with just a little angle.

Hmmm this is a bit like the remote switch for the roof down, point less....but very funny.

Looks really nice
I want to retro fit HID lights to our RAV4 that has no headlight washers so am curious as to whether it would pass the new MOT laws when they come in to play.
Based upon what you have done it should?

I'm not sure, some one else posted a link in this thread to a government site saying that if you fit HIDs when fitting them you must fit washers as well.

Was just reading the MOT changes for 2012 on the AA website and thought some of you may like to know....

Maybe a stick on headlamp washer just for the MOT?
