[QUOTE=Kelk,Apr 16 2006, 11:07 PM] As I look in my rear view mirror, one moment it's empty, the next there is a white Volvo sitting there at a fairly even distance behind me.

I got rozzed by an unmarked Octavia when they first came out. Didnt really know what it was, just knew it was sat on my ass. It was the last day of scoob ownership and I put the boot in About 15 mins later when they eventually caught up with me () they put the lights on and had a wee chat with me.

Let me off though!

Well spotted.

It's refreshing to see that the rozzers are capable of being nice occasionally and having a degree of judgement when the road conditions are OK for a little over 70.

A little finger wagging is just as good a deterrent as those yellow/grey boxes which have no subjective judgement at all ... two flashes and that's it.

Jonesy

All the way back home on the M3 I never went above 68 and was feeling very lucky. Whereas if I'd got an NIP through the post (even though I wasn't speeding as previously stated all figures are in KPH) I'd have been outraged rather than feeling "naughty" and shown the error of my ways.

Cops in cars is better at policing than cameras in boxes.

why is there NEVER an unmarked car around when I see that kind of driving
You should have seen my driving in London yesterday. An unmarked car would have had a field day.

TBH, if people drive like idiots and hog the middle lane, etc then the only way to negotiate them is to weave in and out.

I think most regular A303 users know where they hide up (there's also a hidden pull in going in the other direction). I used to go to Andover a lot when Emma lived there, so played 'spot the copper' a lot!
