As long as the insides haven't completely broken up ( internal movement is fine ) these are worth about 40 pounds at your local scrap metal merchants.

Bearing in mind you can get a 'new' 2nd hand one off Garage R for about 75, this is a good way of keeping the replacement costs down.

I have a Garage R one but hopefully my old cat will still be ok for the changeover, for the MOT! It's still sitting in the boot, helps to way the back down
