It's a 1 series, it does not matter what they do to it, it is still a 1 series and a BMW: similar cred to a merc van except people let mercs out at junctions. Would you buy a merc van with 400bhp for 75K? No then why buy a 1series with the same performance.
In fact I'm sure some artic trailers kick out a fair few BHP, perhaps if you put a BMW badge on it you would achieve the same thing, speed, looks and credibility!
