Default Goodbye S2000

So this morning I had to wave goodbye to my poor JDM S2000 as it was hauled away on the back of a flatbed to travel 180miles in a northerly direction:

The destination : Rob at Garage R for a new motor.

I am now counting down the days until I can go and collect it with a nice low mileage 2004 UKDM engine and gearbox.

Hopefully I won’t miss those extra 10 Japanese horses... although it currently has as ruined block and no horses.

It was a most unfortunate and quite bizarre case of hydrolock - bent a rod and savagely scored one of the bores.

Jeebers! Was that from rain water or coolant, or do you not know?

The conclusion was that it was rain\flooding that caused it... I think I must have just been incredibly unlucky.

Haha, it’s probably that extra sense of class that feels a bit different.

Have you encountered the infamous Ducati reliability yet?

I’ve come to the conclusion that mine doesn’t start if it is cold, wet or dark… 25 degrees and sunny however and it is perfectly well behaved.
