Good local indy/main dealer for 108mth service
Hi Everyone
The car I'm about to get needs a service - the 108 month one.
As the car has only done 25k miles its on time rather than mileage, but I'm really keen to give it whatever it needs - not looking to skimp in any way.
The plugs were changed 12 months ago when the oil spray jet recall was done at the dealer, (and the car has done 3k miles since then) so I will think they will be ok.
So, is there anything specific I should make sure that I get done (gearbox oil flush/diff oil flush etc?) - I can see on the schedule that the 108 service is a big one - pollen filter, oil+air filters, brake lube, brake fluid change etc.
The car is a '99, so is it worth getting anything else done too? Clutch fluid change?
Finally - anyone able to recommend a good indy/honda main dealer in Leicestershire/Nottinghamshire who won't damage my pride and joy and charge a fair price?
Thanks

I've had good experiences with Francis Honda in Narborough.
Main dealer so main dealer prices but they've done some good work for me and the head mechanic does seem to really know his stuff.

I use Grantham Honda, their head mech has an S of his own..
having said that they broke my windscreen while trying to diagnose a noise i'd asked them to look at (stone hit it).

Hi Will
Welcome to the world of sensible motoring! Its about time that you saw the light.
I hope that you found this forum as helpfull as I said it was. Not as anal as Westfield or SELOC but very friendly.
When you get the car,pop round , its about time you saw Steves 2 TVRs complete with mega BLING.

Well I remember how good Sarah's Civic Type-R was, and that near-clinical engine and gearbox combo so I reckon with another 40hp, no roof and rear wheel drive+LSD it's going to be fun Fun FUN..!

Be careful at Francis Honda (narborough), they have tried to fudge services several times on my car.....(missed items on sevices, completed a civic service on my s2000, and used geometry settings that were simply wrong.)
I still use them because they are local, and they have put right everything that was wrong....recently they have been OK.....but be extra cautious.
