Default Good Driving Roads in or around Ipswich

Hi everyone

Long time no see, I've moved to Ipswich and now the weather is getting warmer I feel the S needs to stretch her legs, does anybody know any good driving roads round this neck of the woods?

Cheers

There are loads all over Suffolk , Norfolk and Essex , especially the quieter bits near the coast, just wander around !

The best road I have found yet is the B1119 to Framlingham. It starts just of the A12 at Saxmundham.
See how you like that one........ I was on it today!

As an ex-resident of mid Suffolk I would particularly recommend:

B1116 north from Framlingham thru Dennington to junction of B1117 near Laxfield - used to be an A road and you can tell
B1117 west to Eye (especially the bit between Stradbroke and Eye)
B1077 south through Debenhams
Then either complete the loop east along the A1120, which is great if there are no caravans and at night if you like a challenge, or head south thru Witnesham back to Ipswich.

I also used to enjoy driving Rendlesham / Tunstall / Snape, plus the road from Yoxford to Sizewell power station, which was clearly upgraded for the nuke construction traffic but is now empty, so excellent for some entertainment.
