Default Be gone stone chips!

Just got the S back having had the rear bumper resprayed following some twat deciding to take a small lump out of it.

I reneged on the smart repair and decided on the full respray.

In addition, the shop I used laquered them twice so hopefully the front of the car will be slightly more impervious to road rash than it was previously.
Do you sure they actually did that?

They can do whatever they want. They might pass a couplf of times to deepen the colour or example for better paint matching.

I get mine back from the resprayers next week after a lip fitting and front bumper respray. I've decided to take no chances and go down the Venture Sheild route though as I feel that even with more laquer the car will still be prone to the stone chip pox. Hope yours holds out though.

Where do you typically take your car for body work? The Honda body shop or a local independant?

There is an exellent place near Warrington that do Ventureshield.
(For those up north)

I had my Elise done all over but I know the front would be reasonable
on its own. I twatted a loose wheel trim at speed last year in it, it
shattered and I thought my front clam was damaged but when I
peeled the film off there was only a tiny scuff. I think I had the front
redone for about

I take mine to several independants for quotes and to find out about them and to see if they know what they are doing and what sort of set up they have then get quotes. Price is a limited issue and I went for the one that was middle of the road as the guy was interested in what I wanted and expected. I hope I chose right.

P.S. My local Honda dealer does not do bodywork they source it out

Were you happy with the result for the price?
