I thought the OE plugs were good unless boosted. Don't want to be changing them all the time in ally block

Yep! I think the only difference for my stock will be that iridium ones last longer.

The Platinum ones last 6 years or 54k miles, so it won't make any difference, really.

For someone who didn't want to be ripped off, you seem to be doing a good job of ripping yourself off!

Read the service schedule I linked you to, and you can see how often everything needs to be changed.

Chances are that the ones you have fitted now are only a year old.

It is true that the word 'iridium' excites me! Admit I had fallen for it!

True-true. I was not intending to throw them away anyway. I'll keep them on the side in case iridium comes up with issues.
Because this is my first service as the car's owner, I bought literally everything as I wanted a fresh start.

But thanks for the useful link anyway, I'll use it as reference.

If we find out in the process that things have been already changed from Honda and are looking okay, I'll keep the stuff for the next service.
That was the plan at least..

When I bought mine I did a similar thing and serviced the majority of the car,

Disks pads
Oil
Diff oil
Gbox oil
Coolant
Spark plugs
Cabin filter

All from Honda! And 2 weeks after the dealership in bought it from did it as part of sale agreement!

The s2000 is very good as OE it's hard to improve upon in many areas without spending a fortune! For example the fuel pump and injectors are good for approx 350bhp! The flow of the OE engine is very hard to improve... Honda refined the suspension settings many times to get it right...

This community can help you alot :-) there is a thread in which one guy has all the spring rates of each model year and the after market ones! Plus the stiffness of bars etc etc.... Fascinating!

Looking around you'll find gold on here.

The community already helped me and I am grateful indeed!

Same here, all Honda stuff (Ahem! Except cat which Honda wanted £1.7k and eventually got a Berk Hfc 70mm for 225)
& lots of love

I would love to have 350 bhp and frighten myself when I step on the gas but from what I am reading here you will compromise reliability sooner than later. Car, still is a joy to drive as stock though!

Only a bit more power. A bit more torque. The more you got, the more you want!
