A bird in a SLK350 sneered at me the other night for having the roof down.
Probably just up tight because she knew she had to suck c ock to get her hubby to buy her the motor

Just spent the last hour driving from Bath to Reading, with the roof down, the heater on max and the stars shining brightly.
What a fantastic car, although I think she loved the cold crisp air more than I did

When i got mine in January was driving with the roof down with a mate and some bird at the side of the road shouted "wheres the sun"..! Cheeky bitch, think she was probably jealous as her chav looking boyfriend probably drives a punto with a loud exhaust and wheel trims! And i was definitely warmer than her with the heater on!

Ok .. I am picking up my S today from Bob Gerard .. but .. so no S equivelant story .. but I've had an MX5 for several years and honestly .. at ANY given opportunity I drive with the hood down .. just what is the f**king point otherwise.
I once drove the south coast up to Yorkshire at night with the hood down and it was a great night. Also ..the night my daughter was conceived me and my girl had been cruising under the stars :-)
The sneering you get tends to be from people who would really like to do what you're doing but KNOW they are so anally retentive they'd be worried about people looking at them if they did it.
When people sneer give them a big beaming smile back - ear to ear .. radiate with your smile "my life is f**king wonderful" .. it'll screw them up good and proper.
The best things in life are simple. Driving with the hood down is one of them - whatever time day or night.
... The other crazy thing .. is all the time .. even during the day when the sun is shining .. or it's perfectly good weather for hood down .. the amount of people with their hoods up. Z4 and Boxster drivers are the worst for this IMHO.
