Do you have it in for me tonight, Mikey?

Torque wrench not totally needed IMO - just make sure its quite tight - not foooking tight.

Remember, you have a washer there, and there is only a few psi in the sump. You want it tight ish though!

(sump plug)

The filter is more critical as it has pressure.

Ive done it without jacking it up, kind of unsighted though It was laziness.

It takes nowt to jack it up, undo bolt, then let it down though!

You will need to jack the car up to get to the sump bolt and you wont be able to take the filter off from above, nor by hand. So you will need a filter wrench too!
I can do both ???

Filter should only ever be done up hand tight and the S2000 is the most accessible filter I have ever seen ??

Guess it depends how thin you are and how long your arms are.

I use a tapered piece of wood, about 4" high, 18" long to drive up.
Thats high enough to drop the oil.

As Mark says a torque wrench is not really needed, just take note
of the force needed to undo the bolt.

The two I've tried I couldn't get off by hand. There was then not enough room to use a filter wrench if trying to access the filter from above. It was just so much easier with the car jacked up.
