Clearly your card details have been compromised and you can bet your house on it that your card details will not have been exposed via Paypal if you used them.
I bought mine from this trader via Paypal in late December 11 as per my link in this thread and monitor my bank account on a regular basis with no unusual activity to date.
Numerous people contacted me asking for details prior to us being allowed to post e-bay links and everyone who asked for the details of the trader PM'd be back saying thanks for the link/details & that their grease had turned up. Not one person has posted any thing until now which would suggest that it is probably not directly linked to this trader.
As Ryan had asked - how did you pay for this item as ebay prompts you to use Paypal?
Have you used your card for any other purchases recently or just this grease?
To be fair, I use my credit card for so many internet purchases because of the protection VISA & the card issuer provides that if fraudulent transactions appeared on my statement I would be hard pushed to pin point which retailer/website was at fault.
Again as per Ryan's suggestion - I would contact the trader and ask them if they are aware of any other similar issues.

You can speak directly with them you know - just log on to your account, go to the contact us section and request a code/pin number which is valid for 60 mins I think.
Probably get to the bottom of if quicker speaking to them

Just a quicky to say I ordered some off the back of this thread last week. Hasn't yet arrived (wouldn't expect it yet), but also not had any dodgy out goings from my credit card as yet. So benefit of the doubt from me too, but I'll keep an eye on things..

I wouldn't worry as long as you have paid by Paypal.
You've got to remember if customer card details held by PayPal had been hacked in to, leaked, etc, it would be all over the news and there would be more than one of us saying their account had been raided.
I hope Mike gets his fraud sorted
