When i had a problem with mine i popped in to see Jorge, he put it up on the ramps and had i running in 1st gear on the ramp, then when we were underneath it you could hear the gearbox whine and the diff was silent....the whining was travelling down the prop shaft so it sounded like the diff had gone.

Id put money on this being the ' thrust output bearing ' on the gearbox... mine was shagged just like that - changed the oil and its ' better ' but still makes a noise - just live with it - drop the roof and drive fast then it goes away

thanks guys..... what oil should i use for each gearbox and the diff? also.. would some lucas stabilizer help aswell?
You need Honda MTF fluid for the gearbox if you are going OEM and the recommended grade of Hypoid oil for the diff. Your local dealer can supply both.
If you are going aftermarket you could do worse than get your fluids from Opie oils who offer a discount to S2kuk members.
Perhaps some of the track day folks could say what they use.
