Gearbox rebuild?

That's 2d gear?! Doesn't look far enough back to be completely engaged but video angles can make things look different.

Although maybe you're onto something actually... I cleaned up and regreased the shifter assembly yesterday and, despite my best efforts, couldn't get it to pop out of gear on a test drive afterwards.
I really didn't expect it to make any difference tbh but thought I'd give it a go anyway (for the sake of the cost of some grease and a couple of parts), but it genuinely seems like the problem may be sorted...
Given the state of the old grease, and the fact that the old plastic pivot cap thing seemed to be cracked on the bottom of the shifter, maybe it was a selection issue rather than a box problem. Goodness, I hope so at least!
