Gearbox Oil... Amsoil or Redline?
After having my S2k for a couple of weeks I've decided the transmission is not as silky smooth as it probably should be. I guess being an '04 on 46k it's never been changed.
I had a bad experience in an old car using Fuchs transmission oil, it became notchy as hell and I went back to standard.
What do people recommend on here? I've been looking on Opie Oils: http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-670-75w-...ion-fluid.aspx
What's the deal with the diff oil?
Looking at the FAQ I need:
Diff Oil 75W90 GL-5
Gearbox Oil 75W/80 GL-4

This one? http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-899-motu...ter-based.aspx That's 75W/90, is that OK? Is it a smoother shift than the OEM fluid?

That's what i've used on all my S2000 and works well for me.
You might want to hang on until Si2k comes along, our resident oil expert.
Am talking to Si about a swap to Castrol for the box and diff, for some brand loyalty!
