I regularly drive with the light on for some time (the bars usually go up and down between 0 and 3 while its on too!), and always end up putting in more then 45litres (think 48 was my best recently).

I recently went 30 miles with no bars left and when I filled up it only took 47 l.

This is probably not a good thing for me as now I seem to push it to the bottom every time. MC Blue in the hard shoulder, that'll be me.

The problem with using the trip is it varies so much between town and cruising. 170 miles (town and VTEC city ), 280 motorway and when my girlfriends in the car (ooh, don't go so fast )
I once attemped to drive home with the light just coming after 30 miles car started losing power on the M4, just made it back to services to fill up at most expensive station in South Wales. Very Relieved.

Not intent on learning my lesson a few months later I was driving home when the light came on; i did about 16 miles; went to take the car to work in the morning and after 2 miles broke down; had to have a hand from fellow road user to push me into a side road followed by a 2 mile walk for some petrol and a buy another can!

I seem to be getting more than 330 miles to a tank at present; clearly not driving it hard enough!

Couple of weeks. You've had your time.

The fuel tank is indeed 50 litres and you can fit more than that in

I have filled up 49.36

When the fuel light comes on, you have about 15% range left.

If you start to cut out above 5000rpm, you have 2 miles range left.

If you actually run out of fuel, you'll wish you'd have not gone that extra pertol station further
