Go on, do your modding worst

... and to be fair, you didn't actually run out - the car didn't stutter to a standstill

If that is the case, then it sounds like we should rely on that more than the gauage.

And the +04 cars have more bars in their gauages than the pre 04 cars. I do perfer the design of the +04 cars tbh. In fact the whole dash cluster is different, as they also have a clock.
I prefer the rev counter in the pre04 cars Though it would be nice to have more than 6 bars on the temp gauge. Also a clock would be nice, it's not fun trying to look at your watch driving down the motorway at night

Thanks for reassuring me that I am not alone. I will attempt another run to the petrol station now that my Dad has found another 10 litres. Hmmm. 20 litres now. I wonder if the light'll still be on?

They shortened the rev counter on the +04 clocks as well

I drove about 25 miles with no bars on that morning - I think you tried unsuccessfully to do 30. I'm sure the taxi ride to the filling station made up for it though

Paging Chris Type R! Hoggy to this thread please!

Was wondering how long it would take for this to appear - had expected it to be posted by the jock though.

The S2K Comedy Fuel Guage ™ told me I had 2 bars when I parked it the night before. In the morning, the guage was empty and the car wouldn't start.
