You have put me off doing it now
Out of interest did you see a build of dirt in the old pump? Or didn't you strip it down that far?

I looked at Rislar's SC thread and it seemed straight forward to get the pump out, so I thought I would do it.

Is it harder than it looks?
It is an easy job to do, just remember to let the pressure out of the tank first, it shoud take you an hour to complete if in doubt PM me and i'll talk you through it bud By phone that is

Link of how to do it in my Supercharge install below.

It's a bit of a fiddle, and I hope I never have to do it again!

Most cars it's easy as its below the back passenger seat. The difficulty on the S is the stuff you have to remove to get to the cover.

I'd get the dealer to do it. IIRC they don't charge much labour to it?

I suppose after 7 years of filtering shite out of the petrol it could get blocked up to the point of not being able to flow enough petrol at high demand

Cheers for the advice lads.

Rislar I'll send you a pm if I get stuck. thanks for the offer mate.

MB so since you have done yours, could you confirm that its part 7 I need on the diagram?
I will also ask the dealer how much they would charge for just the filter change.

I did mine myself.

Yep it's the part with the red arrow pointing to it.

Again, if you look at my thread you can see it in the flesh...

Did it actually need changing (where there any signs of it becoming blocked - this looks like the sort of tank filter that normally would never be changed)?
