Fuel Filler Flap - help needed

Default Fuel Filler Flap - help needed
Fow whatever reason the fuel filler flap on my wife's S is not working. Pulling the tit seems to have no effect - I've been round by the filler flap when she's operating the tit and I can't feel anything happening at the flap end. I assume the linkage is mechanical.

Is there an alternative method of opening the flap?

The only other thing which might be relevant is that she changed the battery last week, but if the linkage is mechanican this would be irrelevant.

Any suggestions?

IGNORE EARLIER PLEA FOR HELP. The wife has now informed me that she has been pulling the wrong tit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
