Fuel Economy
Hi All,
Just finished the first tank of Optimax on the new engine.
New block has never been above 65mph or 4500rpm yet it still returned the same mpg as if I was caning it everywhere at 8k +
Filled it back up when it got to around 240 miles.
Now, have I been living under a completely false expectation that keeping it in the 110bhp range and out of the 240bhp range would make a difference?
Hmmm ...

I experienced the same. I didnt VTEC for about 2 weeks when I had the blower on and not spinning.
I think if you are in and out of traffic, its pretty bad whatever. If you're on a motorway then it would be different.
