You need some bumper plugs.
It's the square holes I'm talking about.

I know plugs are available for the inner two (four in total holes) but I'm not too bothered about those as they'll be cover by a smaller number plate.

EDIT: You beat me to it.

On my 04 the only way to get the plate off was to cut it down the middle as it comes off towards the outside on each side of the car. Then you are keft with the square fittings. On one of my cars they simply unscrewed, on the other the bolts were in so tight I had to mask the front of the bumper and cut the heads off with a hacksaw. Chips away quoted me

[QUOTE=S2000_UK,Mar 17 2006, 12:35 PM] Oh crap!

I completely forgot about those big square holes. I'm thinking about buying a new 04 bumper but don't really want to put on the holder.

To anyone who's removed the holder

I agree....JDM Bumpers only have 2 holes..which are covered up by a 3/4 size plate stuck directly to the nose

I got my 3/4 size front plate from Fancy Plates this morning so I am going to remove my current one this weekend. How easy is it to remove the holder without taking the bumper off?

Anyone got any tips?
Remove the bumper or hope they don't rip the bumper when you tug it off

Here is what is behind it!

I'm going the "shipley" route next week when I get the JDM one on, bonus is there are no washer jets either!

Mikey, I think mine is different to that - it doesn't have those holes in the middle

I'm not too fussed about the square holes now, I have a cunning plan involving modelling putty and touchup paint...

I really wanted to avoid taking the bumper off though. Why did they make it so difficult.

It was your plate that prompted me to get one, so if I screw it up it's your fault!

Have you just stuck yours on with sticky pads?

If you don't want to mess about filling holes and painting them you could "jaegerise" it

My current set up with double side foam tape
