Default front number plate suround

So i took my number plate off the front so i could change it for a much smaller one, which i think makes the front end look great, measured up for a new plate to cover the 2 bolts that hold on the black surround to the bumper behind it, only to find that the corners of he black surround which i assumed were held in place with adhesive now looks like its more screws going from the inside of the bumper to the surround so you cannot see them........im gutted, the number plate i bought is now useless cos there will always be 2 holes either side......who thought it'd be a good idea the hold the surround on like this? what a pain in the backside.
Dont suppose anyone has any idea's?

Have a look at the above sticky, which explains how to search the forum when the usual search facility is unavailable (which it is at the moment).

In short, some have used colour coded 'plugs' to fill the gaps.

Buy some touch-up paint and some £1.25 rubber grommets from Halfords, paint them, then plug the holes up with them.

Obviously you need to remove the bumper to get the surround off first.

Anyone seen the number plate tilt that a few sellers have on eBay and have opinions?
