No pictures at the mo, but you can't see the holes square on - only from an angle and with painted bungs you wouldn't notice at all.

I'd still recommend taking the bumper off though, I only didn't as I knew it would be getting painted soon.

I removed my plinth on a hot day without removing the bumper, and with a full sized plate no holes are visible just

I'm after removing my front number plate plinth and either fitting the plate directly to the bumper or fitting a smaller one and bunging the holes.

What have people used to bung the holes one of the threads I found said keyhole things but couldn't find any more info. Can you buy them ready painted?

Also is it a bumper off job?
I would advise that you remove the front bumper; I did, but some people manage by using brute force to remove the holder! (no names will be mentioned).

To fill the outer holes I used a couple of electrical blanking grommets, painted with a touch-up stick.

I have a photo, I'll post it when I get to work. I wanted to go down the same route as you, had it not been for the extra holes I would have stuck to using the blanks when I removed my plinth
I sourced the blanks off Fleabay And the were around a tenner from memory
Actually there a full thread on smoothed bumpers and I put about 5 photos up at the time, have a search and you should find it
