Fraud alert -EBAY

I had my account hijacked a few months back. Took them a week to sort it during which time and American guy paid $7500 for a Harley that wasn't mine. (it was worth twice that V-rod). I hope they have speeded things up is all, I don't want anyone paying good cash to these wee scumbags.

They sent a spoof e-mail from Paypal ref a payment which when opened uploaded a Trojan Horse and some cute spyware. Gave them remote access to my entire home Lan. We discovered it when I opened hotmail (where my mails from ebay are routed) and found 80 or so questions about Harleys for sale.
Anyway to cut a long story short, I found out their IP address and supplier and worked with Ebay (when they finally agreed that I wasn't selling Harley's in Ohio). They were some Spanish guys and I'm led to believe that they have now been stopped. Was a bit stressful though. I was having remote slagging matches with them thru hotmail as they were able to log in at the same time.
Anyway it's sorted now and I think the wee s2000 trick is just a parting shot from them.
Luckily I know a little about PCs and I logging in during the fake auction or I would have been "responsible" for payments of thousands of dollars that I did not receive.
There's a new thing that you can download from ebay that authenticates their mails and tells you if they are genuine or not, thus avoiding spoof mail.
