100% true, as I stated not illegal, but if say your driving was seen to be erratic and plod pulled you over and found you had been eating or drinking you would be deemed to be driving without due care and attention, and slapped with 3 points and £100, and your driving would be careless because of the action you had taken, just the same as programing your sat nav, or putting on lippy etc. It's evidence of just cause for prosecution, just not as black and white as using your mobile phone.

I 've also removed the ash tray and this seems to work well
