Yes PHo dead right, holds time at bay and helps stop the rain getting in, I know these seals are expensive ONE for my CRX was over £70 so well worth keeping them sound.
Anyone with a newer S worth going for Shin Etsu as Honda might pull the warrenty.
And Mr Beans, I remember Dow Cornings from my MOD days it's good stuff, would recomend it anytime.

Intoxication, No this is the stuff you put round your bath!
And soulcrew, it does more than that it stops the rubber crumbling , belive me I owned a CRX for 13 years and have seen with and without. if you want to avoid a big bill for seals use it or another decent silicon lube. We used to use this on nuke submarines, rubber is so bio and solar degradable it need loads of help.

This is better, you can buy direct or eBay.
Bimmer garages used to sell it like Honda do with Shittetsu..

Just recalled another reason to silicone the seals, on my old CRX in winter the windows would freeze to the seals so I couldn't open the doors! sure the S would do the same. I had many a morning with frozen locks and windows crawling in from the passenger side and starting up to heat up the cab, and yes once I did manage to lock the keys in the running car DOH!

Absolutely. Do not do what I did at first and try to spray it on to the seals with the roof half open. It goes everywhere and is a bu**er to get off the seats/console/dashboard
