I'm sooo excited, I've been selected to take part in one of the Formula Woman assessment days...
I'm glad I signed up for the driver training at Cadwell Park on Friday, this is a dream come true, I just hope I can pull it off... Will keep you posted on my progress, I may even get to meet VBH...

I think it's an OK idea to get women involved. Many may feel a bit imtimidated by the blokey macho culture at first. Once they've done a little bit of racing then they can race with the blokes once they've got the hang of it. i.e. use it as a stepping stone. The ones who don't feel intimidated should go straight into the normal racing.
Normal racing ISN'T blokes only, it just so happens that most are blokes. The women only thing, if not used as a stepping stone, is sexist and patronising. Thus it should only be used to start those that wouldn't otherwise give it a go.

Thanks Mark.
I think many of you underestimate women, if they felt intimidated by men they wouldn't enter the competition in the first place... It doesn't bother me either way, I work in a predominantly male environment and it was the same at Uni...
I think Formula Women will be start of something great for all us female petrolheads and I personally see it as a good introduction to motorsport, so bring it on....
