I put single red LED's into the plastic behind the handle, wired them into the electrical feeds for the windows so that they were always on with the ignition! No more fumbling for the handles!

So connecting the LED lights to interior lights is what i gathered. But does anyone know how to connect a 3 way switch to manually control the lights?

If they get a bit bright, you can scuff the lens up with a scotch pad to diffuse the light - makes it more of a glow rather than a beam.

has anybody put LED lights under the door handles on the outside of the car to come on when you unlock the car??? just like the bmw..

I did this today. I used some of THESE I wired them into the interior lights so that they turn on when the doors are open and when the interior lights turn on when the car is unlocked. Pretty happy all in all. Bit of a faff and took me a while but everything seems to work ok so far. I tapped into the wires down by the interior fuse box.
