After having a detailing day with my friend Jon...and Whaninoz sitting and watching while we spent 7 hours on the paintwork on Saturday the car's were looking amazing! So, I thought it would be rude not to go and take some photos! We used a combination of snow foam, Poorboys Black Hole Glaze, EXP and then some Meguiars Ultimate Liquid Wax.

Thanks! Took some serious work to get it like that but it was well worth the effort!

Is been a bit of a mixed couple of weeks for me recently. The car has been running ok but not perfectly...

I firstly had a bit of an issue where I had quite a bit of knocking coming from the front end of the car after my journey to Wales and back. After getting it up on axle stands this turned out to be the castor bolts, which Orbit clearly hadn't tightened up anywhere near enough as I managed between 1 and 2 whole turns using a 2ft extension bar...they are now nice and tight as well as the others which I checked whilst under there.

However, I still seem to have a very small amount of knocking from the front and back intermittently which is really puzzling me as everything is new and torque has now been checked. The only thing I can think it could be is cheap quality ARB drop links? Does anyone else have any further suggestions?

While I was under the car I also fitted my Spoon cross brace, which had been waiting to go on but I'd just not got around to sourcing some new bolts and actually getting the car up in the air again.

I then went to Richmond park last weekend where Joeh noticed my car was pretty smokey...obviously worrying me seeing as the engine went into the car with 91,300 miles on it. However, I've kept a close eye on this since and it appears to have used 200ml in the last 420 miles, which is well within acceptable consumption. The only thing I can think of is that I over filled the oil on the Thursday before the trip as the smoking has now disappeared?

TIA

I received my new stereo last week as well; I opted for the Pioneer DEH-80PRS which came nice and promptly from Road Radio...shame I couldn't say the same out my Alpine Type R components from Car Audio Centre who messed me about for a week telling me they were being sent out on next day delivery only to then find out on Friday they hadn't even arrived in stock from Alpine! I wasn't impressed at all with this and they didn't seem to care, not even giving an apology. In the end I cancelled my order and have done a new one with Car Audio Direct today, which has already been dispatched!

On Saturday I also removed my Buddy Club exhaust as I want to get something a bit shinier and slightly quieter! So the OEM system is back on, albeit being polished up...

...but it sounds boring as hell now as the intake is an inclined design too which means the car almost sounds OEM! Fingers crossed I will find something else soon. If not the Buddy Club will go back on as the car will be back to an evening and weekend toy come August/September time.

Sunday morning I woke up early as well and managed to get the time to fit a set of Ferodo DS2500 pads to accompany my black diamond disks as well as my Tegiwa brake brace...and wow what a difference! The bite is so much better and the stopping power is much more assertive, I'm really impressed. I'll soon be upgrading my fluid to Motul RBF600 as well so I'm hoping to see more improvements again.

I'm in Wales now visiting the family so the plan is to enjoy the car driving the Black Mountain Pass near Brecon...if it ever stops raining

Stop being a wimp,

You know how good mine sounds

Looks immense,

Black red seats finish it off nice,

I will see it in person one day
