Thanks
Just keep it simple and clean is what I like, a kind of OEM+ look. I must have got that from when I was into the VW scene.
Credit where credit is due though, a lot of it is in the body work. I have done everything mechanically to it but its Ray who's got it looking that way.
I thought about it the other day though and about the only things that haven't come off the car and been put back on are the diff, prop, dashboard and steering column!

I hope my car is on the same type of drugs as your floppy, that is truly excellent.
I to like the clean modified OEM look , especially no badges and the clean front bumper sans holes etc
Its certainly what i am aiming for albeit at the opposite of the colour spectrum , i.e. Pepper white.

I've not posted in here for a while as I've mainly been enjoying the car since having it back. I took a trip down to South Mimms a few weeks back and it was great to see some old as well as new faces...unfortunately on the journey down something got flung up from the wheel on the front passenger side and put a pinhole sided ding in the wing
So...seeing as the car has gone back into Captain Ray this weekend for the boot spoiler to be fitted he said he would sort this for me at the same time
I had some nice pictures from Mimms though thanks to others, including a mention in the 6TWO1 Mimms diary blog!

Shame he didn't notice that they're Work wheels and not some knock off's! He's obviously not JDM enough
Since then I've finally cleaned the engine bay and fitted my S2X elbow and air horn due to the pathetic OEM one making the car sound like RoadRunner! Next on the list for under the bonnet is to refurb the rocker cover.

I've also attempted to fit my bonnet dampers, which took a bit of effort but I finally sorted the brackets that were at the wrong angle by taking a hammer to them.

I've also had a trip over the bank holiday weekend to visit the family in Wales so popped over to pick up a new pair of seats from Bristol, thanks to Ryangeorge who had a set for sale.
Driving down race car esque with one seat!

Once I was there I took the drivers seat out at Ryan's place, fitting both the new ones and dismantled the old one to put in the boot for the journey home. Thanks Winfreak for the suggestion on that one, worked a treat!
I'm getting to the point where I'm pretty happy with how the car is looking now and think the red/black seats tie the interior and exterior in together nicely.

All I need to do now is get myself a machine polisher to remove the hologram's and fine swirl marks from the paint and it'll be pretty much perfect!
I've also decided to sell the exhaust and change it for something a bit quieter and shinier so I'm on the hunt for a HKS Silent Hi-Power at a reasonable price. I'll have to stop spending then though...famous last words
