Another 10 hours done today and its starting to resemble a car again! I now have a replaced soft top, all the interior back in bar one panel as the grommets snapped and also have seats, doors and a boot lid fitted
I also got some free bird shit with the roof as it has been stored in the barn over the winter

It actually worked out really well that the entire interior was out as it meant that I could completely wipe down and clean every panel as well as hoover the carpet properly to get it as clean as possible.

We also fitted the boot lid but I couldn't be bothered to do another picture as it was cold and I'd had enough plus it was closing time...back again tomorrow though to fit the handles, door mirrors, door and boot locks, door cards etc. and then I just have to wait for Captain Ray to finish painting the bonnet, wings and bumper so the final bits can go back together!

After the last 2 days of taking more of the car apart it was a welcomed sight to have things going back together! I did have help with the doors and boot lid though...I mainly stood and watched or held them to give support and I left the actual hanging and fitting to the experts

Not a lot done today
I was hoping to drive it to South Wales on Sunday as I was led to believe it would be ready for the weekend. That's never going to happen though as the bumpers, bonnet and wings haven't been painted yet.
So, all I've managed to do today is fit the rear lights, drill out the fog light bracket from the old bumper and cut the hole for the fog light in the JDM rear bumper. Ray didn't mop the door handle and wing mirror areas so I couldn't fit them and there was nothing else I could do. He's closed for the rest of the day now.
4mm drill bit and taking your time with the drill on a slow speed is the best way to do this:

I've been back up the garage since lunch time today. I had planned to get there late morning but had a little detour to the post office to pick up my new centre caps for the wheels...robbing barstewards charged me import tax and VAT
By the time I got there Ray had mopped around the areas I needed to work on so the door handles are now fitted as well as the high level brake light, boot lock and passenger door mirror. The drivers door mirror had some pitting in it and Ray wasn't happy with the finish so its having some high build primer put on it and its getting re-done when he paints the bumpers and boot spoiler tomorrow
I then ran out of things to do so I decided to fit my new intake! I didn't realise I had to take a drill to the front cross member but I put some instant gasket down the holes to try and prevent rust ingress before securing the bracket down.
I also didn't drill the top left hole as I felt it was too close to the existing one and I didn't want to weaken that area at all. The screws also didn't quite fit through the pre-drilled holes in the bracket so I had to use a 4mm drill bit to enlarge them slightly; the screws tapped through nice and snugly then

When securing the intake to the bracket one hole didn't quite align properly so once again I only used 3 holes...not a problem and I didn't fancy cutting through carbon fibre! However, throughout fitting it it wasn't too bad but nowhere near perfect. The front brackets were fiddly too so again I only attached the front left one as I couldn't get the mouth of the intake under the cooling panel area with both in, without the intake catching and then couldn't budge the bolt on the bonnet latch which secures it to the other side...It would be better to remove these two front bolts first but there were no instructions
A good tip though is to keep the foam wrapping around the mouth so you don't scratch it by mistake
It was quite a fiddle job all in all and I'm still paranoid that it will catch on the bonnet but fingers crossed it should be ok as Ray cut the bonnet and we followed the instructions on another thread that Andybill had provided...only time will tell! It looks pretty though
EDIT: forgot to add my bonnet support strut doesn't fit now so I'll have to use it as a good excuse to buy some gas bonnet dampers

I'm now trying to decide what colour to paint the rocker cover and I'm torn between a flat black with the polished coil pack cover or a nice metallic red...and then get my brake brace painted the same colour too.
