Default Fitting new speakers

Surprisingly being very much into my audio I didnt actually find the OEM speakers that bad, coupled with my P88rs they sound pretty good but still leave something to be desired.

I have a spare set of Rockford Fosgate 6.5" components that Im thinking of installing but I have done some reading and it seems it wouldnt be a straightforward fit.

Is there any adaptor or similar that makes installation possible ?

Searching the forum crops up with tons of posts about Lucid but all the links provided within them are dead ends.

You just need some MDF spacers in all probability. You can make them or buy them from Ebay for about a fiver.

Try a search for that, or have a look in the electronics forum. https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showforum=26

I took a load of pics when I installed mine which you may find helpful LINKY To save cutting up the vehicle loom you can buy some Honda speaker adaptors which allow you to plug your new speakers into the car harness, have a look on eBay they are only a couple of quid.

BMW Mini speaker spacers will allow for a perfect fit - they're about £8 but better than building your own, unless you love that sort of thing. The speaker wire adapters as mentioned above are well worth it too.
I'll post the links on here later with exact model numbers, but if I forget PM me.

With both of those it a matter of a 20 minute job including getting the door panels off and putting them back on, altogether.
