Default Fitting lower OEM rear spoiler

Read all the FAQ'd on this, just bought a second hand original one, and want to know if this can be fitted by just drilling the 2 marked holes out on the boot rather than drilling along the center as well. I may fit a Mugen spoiler at a later date and dont want to ruin my boot lid by drilling 4 holes in it, any suggestions?

Some people just stick them on... would think that two bolts would be fine butI have not checked mine

I'd stick it on, Mikey has stuck his Veilside one on and that hasn't dropped off yet

where do I get this sealant from and if I use it can I still take the spoiler off at a later date, as mentioned
i may fit the mugen spoiler. If you can just stick these on, why do honda use 4 bolts :-)

I guess you could probably take it off, you'd have a bit of cleaning to do though with some decent solvent.

4 bolts? just incase I guess??

Sti, I have a Veilside and mine is stuck on with 3M double sided tape - it's not going anywhere. If I were you I'd do the same with the OEM spoiler. I wouldn't use sealant as Hyper suggested as it can be very difficult to remove; you can get solvents but I wouldn't risk using them on my paint. Although my neighbour used some on his car without any problems.

Thanks Chris any recommendation on which 3M tape and where to buy it, at least this way I could always remove and return to standard or alternatively fit something else without ruining my boot!

The stuff I used came with my spoiler. I know Mikey was talking about the 3M tape the other day on another thread, I would PM him and ask what he used. I know it's not cheap though.

I've seen other tapes made by Duck in Halfords and I've seen various 3M tapes on E-Bay, might be a cheaper option.
