Default Fitting Components

How are the original components wired?

Can I just take the feed to the mids and use that as the input to the crossovers which will then be split into mid and high frequencies?

Or, do I have to do something else?

Thanks.

Nick

Yes you can do the above.

So I'm assuming that the mids have a capacitor on the back as the filter? So in essence, the wire that goes to them carries all frequency ranges?

No the tweeters do. One pair goes to each door and splits somewhere inside the door loom into two pairs - one to the tweeters and one to the mids. You can use either.

The OEM tweeter has a capacitor built in.

Ah right! Thanks

So the mid is being fed all frequencies?
