It does sound a lot better afterwards, but the clips rip your fingers to shreds! Lol!

@gbduo, the clips shouldn't rip your fingers to shreds, I used pliers on mine, they do help. You've just got to be careful not to ruin them when you pull them out.

Thin long-nose pliers slid under the clips and then levered off worked for me.

Yeh, pliers would have worked better thinking about it. Ah well, I don't like my fingers anyway! Haha!

Am I really the only one that thinks too much induction noise just makes you sound like a chav without an air filter?

I like a bit of a growl from there but I'd rather hear a decent exhaust tone...
Tbh if going about your business silently with just some exhaust burble then purchasing a TVR would have been a better idea

With my mugen exhaust and decat it sounds like there's a motorbike screaming behind you on full chat, which I like a lot more than vaccuum cleaner on idle and chavved up saxo sound when booting it when I took the airbox lid off
[/quote]

I took the lid of the airbox when i first got the car and I really didn't like it, was too much for me.
But i did the spoon airbox mod and then took the insulation off the other day and i LOVE IT! Nice and subtle induction roar, a wee bit higher pitched it seems than with the lid off but just loud enough to be noticable without becoming intrusive, I have my spoon n1 for that
