Default First wash since I bought it

... some damaged paint that had been repaired.

I didn't see it when I collected the car, but now I know it's there it sticks out like a sore thumb.

C'est la vie!

You were probably overcome with excitement like I was when I collected mine as exactly the same thing happened to me.

Was a bit miffed at first but have collected so many dents, dings and stone chips in the nine months since I have had the car that I'm past caring about cosmetic details. Still love driving it!

Thant's a sh1t. If it's that bad it might be worth considering a professional repair. It will probably keep bugging you everytime you see it otherwise.

Enjoy the new wheels

Where did you buy it from? If it's a poor repair you might be able to wangle a re-spray on the affected area?

Surely you have a legal case for returning the car if it was sold as being in good condition, claiming it was not of merchantable condition.

Merchantable quality was replaced by "satisfactory quality" in the 1970s, but if you bought the car secondhand then your case is less strong.

Section 15A - freedom from minor defects. Again, the test will be applied less strictly for a secondhand car. Caveat Emptor and all that....

However, Lurking Lawyer litigates these cases, not me. He may be more bullish. Quite how bad is the area in question? Any photos?

Here we go, images as requested.

Gut reaction is to leave wll alone as it could end up looking worse.

I bought the car pre-registered with only 26 miles on it - and I paid

Looking at the images in the breowser window - it's just about impossible to see anything apart from the ridge just in front of the headlight washer.

Unlucky fella, i can see a bit where it has been botched esp round light washers.

If i were you id have a go at them, and see what they say, mention some law bullshit and see if they bite, if it becomes too much of a problem and hassel, well least you tried.
