Default First service cost - am I being charged too much?

Alan Day Honda (Colindale) for 9000 mile service.

Informed them that I will be supplying 5 litres fully synth oil and asked for the gearbox fluid to be changed at the same time.

Total cost including VAT is approx

FORGET THAT.

Just re-read you comment, YOU`RE supplying the oil. No in that case its TOOOOOOOOOOOOO expensive!

Gearbox fluid change at 9,000 miles? I'm pretty sure I didn't have that done, and I know for a fact that my first service was nowhere near that expensive. I paid less than that for the first biggie at 27,000!

Sounds pricey, I never had a 8k service as I bought mine at 8300 and it got done for me before i picked up the car

what are the upper and lower thresholds for the 9k service?? mine is coming up and i need to be able to estimate when it will need doing... on 7.5k at the moment.

I hear ya Mark. I'm getting it changed as I've read on other threads that people have found it does make the change action smoother at each 9000 mile interval - and for want of
