Would you consider buying 2nd hand from a Honda dealer? Not sure of any independents or specialists who have that much of a good reputation yet..

Not having any experience other than the plastic I'd say that as long as you keep it cleaned and covered in the bimmer stuff your fine. Could imagine the glass one would work better though...

I have a plastic rear screen and it does not bother me one bit. You may need to clean it once a year though.

You should be able to pick up a really nice car for 15k and as other have said have a look at the FS&W forum.

<insert predictable comment about Berlina being the best colour especially with pimped up full red interior>

I would get an 02 or later myself, the glass rear screen looks nicer and is lower maintenance. As visibilty goes there's not a huge difference in the width which is where it counts.

I bought mine 2nd hand from a Honda Dealer for piece of mind, but it I were to buy another I'd definately buy off of the board - should be able to find out plenty about it and get a real bargain.. especially seeing as you're prepared to wait until winter

Greg - I used to live in Mursley, only moved out about 18 months ago.

Have you mastered Mursleys very own Eau Rouge yet? It's the road you take past the watertower towards MK, but coming back the other way. I had the pleasure of Mark Webber taking me through that in an XJR (he used to live in the village).

Apparently my old house in back on the market now. It's the one on the corner by the T-Junction.

Do you go down the Green Man much? Are Alex, Linda & George still there?

and welcome.

There are mixed experiences with S2000-4U - it has been discussed in great detail - read this, it should help you decide whether to give them a try or not.
