Can someone give me a clue where to pickup 10W30 or 10W40 mineral oil (running the car in) except for Halfords?
I have a company fuel card which I can use in petrol stations and would prefer not to pay out of my own pocket (tight git!!)
Ideally in Reading or Chiswick (or somewhere between) - most garages I stop at don't have anything useful

The 04+ manual doesn't specify the use of mineral oil during running in. Also get to Hellfrauds and get 1 litre of their orange oil. My MY04 and others noticed that we didn't even use half of this bottle and it won't cost a fortune whereas the cars earlier to 04 did used to drink a lot during this period.

At least you can get good stuff. I can't find anything by a reputable company -Shell, Mobil etc... Just the local stuff which I don't trust to be as good ![frown.gif](https://www.s2ki.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)

We might have the crude but for top class synth oil, I'm not so sure.
It's also hard to get 10/40 as the temperatures here are higher than usual - It's going for it's service soon so I might ask, again, what they use.
Last time the Honda bloke said he wasn't sure as it came out of a huge vat! So probably the same stuff that they use in a 1.1 Civic.

They put Texaco semi synthetic 10w 40 in mine at the service at the main dealer so that's what i've used to top up. I guess this stuff is good enough as it seems to comply with the standards in the manual.
If you want cheap oil, they sell it in Morrisons petrol stations for a very reasonable cost. I think it was 3.50 for a litre.
Cheers
Chris
