I actually pleaded guilty to an NIP once from a speeding camera. I knew it was me when I saw the pic. Sent it all off and waited for my punishment.

about 4 weeks later, I get EXACTLY the same NIP through again.

I called the local traffic dept, and told them of their error. They told me to ignore the second NIP in that case.

2 years later, nothing ever came of it. No fine, no points - nothing.

Im not advocating that you ignore this - just saying half the time they dont know their asses from their elbows!

Good Luck

Well look on the bright side....at least now you wont have the argument of who's at fault - ie she got it, or you got it whilst out alone - if you have the evidence of both of you with your hair blowing the wind!!!

Now i cant condone this behaviour and would never do it myself.

If you have genuinely not recieved the NIP, surely there is a case for getting it chucked out of court.

On the NIP i got it clearly states that all corespondance should be recorded delivery as postage is not guarenteed to be recieved."

If they cant spend 69p to get it recorded then i would fight it after speaking to a legal person first and only if its your plate and not a company motor as that can take more time to process.

Not implicating my self, but when i get a summons to court i am gonna play dumb and state i can only assume its for speeding as i have no other recourse for being here.
Then shove that photo copied Nip down their throat high lighting their statement and ask them to prove that i recieved the correct paperwork in timely fashion.

God sake they are still making

I'll have a look at the quality tonight and if it's ok I may frame it. My first "action" shot in the S

I wouldn't know Simmo not having recieved a NIP also bearing in mind that i am not the slightest bit legally minded and you know these legal boys don't come cheap
