Default Final drive ratio - Honda warranty affected?

This could be a stupid question either way (as I have no idea of the answer), but can someone tell me if he final drive ratio change to my 07 S will affect my Honda warranty? Will they carry out the work to ensure the warranty is valid, or is this a total no-no?

thx

It would only affect it the case of a fault being directly caused by it, is my understanding

It may also mess with your VSA as it senses wheel speeds for it's traction control calcuations.

Be careful!

Hmmm, ok.

May leave the upgrading thing for a while then to see what other 07 S ppl here start dabbling with.

Oh, and anyone have the names or numbers of people who actually do this final drive work?

thx

If it senses wheel speeds rather than revolutions then it will not be a problem. Have you spotted an additional sensor around the wheel area when you've worked on your car Mikey? (or does it not have VSA? I pay little attention to the introduction of these's driver's aids ), However, if the sensor actually measures the drive shaft revolutions then estimates wheel speed then there could be a problem.

That diagram suggests that the VSA uses wheel sensors and thus the final drive change won't affect it

I've got a PGM-F1 ecu on my CBR

The system will most likely use the ABS wheel speed sensors. No point in have a duplicated system.
