****s, Aj.

Probably drunk.

I really don't get how you can do that and go home thinking it's fine.

If it's a work van they will just claim someone did it to them I guess, but if that's the case it would cost them nothing insurance wise. If it's their own van then it's likely to have a fair bit of damage too, and the twats will probably claim for it anyway.

Worth nocking on some doors and seeing if anyone spotted them.

Also worth going round at a similar time to see if it belongs to someone in the area

Oh yes i will enquire that's for sure, unfortunately it might take some doing/serious time+effort to prove the 'person' has actually damaged my car, that's if they even own up to doing it, still its worth a shot.

I did knock on a few doors, i will knock on some more tomorrow.

I reckon its probably around 1-1.5k worth of damage - this has all but obliterated my tuning project fund too .

Thanks for the pointers folks

hellapissed ATM, hellaflush the bodywork aint.

if every panel is damaged down one side, I would expect nearer 3.5K ... gutted for you either way it's bloody annoying, especially as it will take time to get done too, nearly 6 weeks my car was off the road.

Your probably right Paul, I'll have to go to my local bodyshop but it wont be cheap as you say.

FFS the car's probably not worth much more than the cost it would take to fix it .

Sh1t I am gutted for you I know exactly how you feel. I guess if you are going to do it yourself not through the insurance you can keep the price down, getting parts from a breakers etc, and a good body shop not doing it at insurance company prices might keep it to your budget, I hope so mate I really do.

Thanks Paul.

It was dark when its happened, but needless to say it wont polish out . I have planned to visit a few bodyshops to get quotes as you say they may not rip me off as much when i tell them what happened and its not for an insurance company.

Depends if they have to replace panels or knock them out, probably the former .
