Farting Speaker
Hello,
One of the door speakers (the bigger ones) is farting on bass in Vic's S2000. I've tried using search but just brought back sooo many different things I was confused.
What do I need to change the speakers? Are there any that go straight in without messing with spacers or something? Any suggested makes (not huge budget!).
Cheers

If you are changing them, you may as well opt for something decent, the vibe black air v2 would be my choice.
These do require spacer rings, which can be had on eBay, and will require you to cut the wiring connectors off, but it'll definitely be worth it

If you're not going to change headunit or are happy with the sound you had and just want to swap like for like, have a word with one of the folks who are breaking cars - you might pick up a pair of speakers for next to nothing.

Anything that isn't an OEM Honda speaker is going to require a fitting adapter - that's a given.
2007 car so you have seperate mids and tweeters ...

I'd not spend more than £100 unless you're going to change the Headunit as well.
These are a good price -http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/hert...i-dsk-165.html

I have the same problem. But I don't have the tweeters, so any similar suggestions? I have a JVC head unit that the previous owner had fitted, which I've never thought was much good, but maybe it is and it's the naff speakers that's always made it crap. I don't want to spend lots of money, but more importantly I don't want to spend lots of time doing it properly. So quickest, easiest please.

Just fit some decent 6.5 speakers Dembo - I know you're not that bothered about it other than it not sounding broken.

Same thing applies as above, you're going to need an adapter plate to fit them and you'll have to hack the OEM connectors unless someone can remember the link to the place that sells converter plugs from the OEM stuff
http://www.amazon.com/Honda-Speaker-.../dp/B0015G17CS is the thing you need IIRC.

What's the JVC model - have a look at its RMS and MAX music power and make sure the speakers are rated about 30% higher than both numbers - anything more than that and the Headunit will fail to drive them properly.
