So, you won't be wanting to get one of those pesky hard top thingies then Adam.

Nice job with the pics though. It's inspired me to get my road angel wired in properly.

aha! I see now!.

One question about the spade connectors - There are 2 wires IIRC that goes to the power so how does this wire up to the spade connector?

I may have one of these connectors lying about somewhere!

For every '+' connection, you need a '-' connection!

The other wire goes to a suitable earth (like the bolt on the steering column)

You are right! I had forgotten that the power wire from the clock is two core, one is live (+ve) the other is earth (-ve). You can either run both down to the fuse box area and try and locate something that is earthed or what I did was to seperate the two cores of the wire (they pull apart) and used the earth point within the interior light for my -ve. After removing the interior light cover (pops off) there is a screw to the left where other wires go to, ideally get the right connector (flat, circular, with hole in OR circular with open hole) to put under the screw - I didn't have one of those so just stripped the wire, twisted the strands and looped it under the screw! Not ideal but does the job.

Pete can probably tell you a good earth point around the fusebox.

- Adam.

Hey, Pete. Do the Race Relations Board know about this?

I think it is getting hard to get hold of now, they seem to be pushing the new range of silver cased blue backlit clocks. Unfortunately these do not fit where I have put mine and being silver they don't exactly blend in either!
