Default Fake scan gauge, be warned

Hi guys,

Just a warning more than anything else, I ordered a scan guage 2 from www.obd2-tools.com,

Didn't realise it was from china until I got an email confirming my order, when I opened the package this morning it didn't have scanguage2 on the front of the unit, it had scan guage plus, a quick google will confirm its a Chinese fake. Pretty pissed tbh guys, any chance I'll have a comeback?

This is the product I bought

Thought it looked legit : (

Yes, it does appear to be a fake and you should be able to demonstrate this easily and report it as counterfeit to get a refund depending on your payment method, did you use Paypal?

On the other hand it was probably made in the same Chinese factory as the official Scanguage and is likely to work in the way you hoped.

Paypal, if the company are comfortable with the ethics of their practices then I doubt they will have a sudden change of heart when you contact them.

Does it do what the genuine scan gauge does?

Dunno, havent plugged it in, don't see why not, but it's the principle, I've paid for genuine, I've received knock off...

I've raised the issue with PayPal, We shall see how good the chinese are at English...

Are you still using the OEM ECU?

Didn't think these would work with an aftermarket ECU such as the AEM EMS.

Yup AEM is not OBD2, once your remove stock ECU you lose OBD2.

The title alone on the website would be enough to put me off if I'm honest. Scanguage instead of scangauge.
