Default To fairy or not to fairy....that is the question.......

I was gonna do the whole fairy/clay/HD-cleanse/wax malarkey tomorrow.
I saw this thread:

http://www.civictype-r.co.uk/phpbb2/viewto...ht=fairy+liquid

So what's the general consensus on fairy liquid then?

I'm planning on doing the same tomorrow San - I'm going to get the fairy liquid out, having had a quick nose at the Wash & Wax forum. I think I will try to wash, claybar and then wash again prior to the grand prix, before doing the polishing post-GP.

Remember that it is not recommended to leave the car in direct sunlight for any length of time once it has been washed and claybared. As the paint is pretty much unprotected until you get the first coat of Zaino on.

OE, as I recall, the person you're talking about it is Kobe - I think he happens to be an industrial chemist (or some such) working in the field of formulating detergents. I'd say he's pretty qualified to comment on whether something like Fairy will damage the paintwork.

Kobe is to fairy what bmarshall is to engines

Wash with fairy, claybar, wash with car shampoo of your choice, THEN do your waxing/ polishing

I've said it before & I'll say it again.
If you are using a claybar, followed by a Paint "cleanser/swirl remover" like HD-Clense (dunno what e-number the zaino equiv is) what is the point of using fairy in the first place.
The cleanser "strips" it down to the bare paintwork, dont it?

In the end. My 2p, it makes not a jot of difference one way or the other.
