Default Fair Price?

I've spotted a Silver S2000 roadster at the local Honda dealership. It's an '05' with 54K on the clock, and one owner (don't have any further details yet). It's up for £13K.

Is this a fair price? My gut feeling is it's overpriced.

Seems fair enough to me. I reckon you could get one a bit cheaper. It's all about condition for me though.

perhaps a little expensive for the miles / age. That's dealers for you.

What would be more realistic if it was a private sale?

Just ask them what they'll take for it, asking price is usually inflated, It should be a bit lower at this time of year.?

On the plus side a well looked after, clean and low mileage MY05 would be the ideal choice if your the sort of person that wants to modify or tune.

I think the 06 one on the for sale forum is also a bit too expensive. Also it's in the expensive tax bracket, presumably without the benefit of VSA, and it's not the colour I'm after (Moonrock first, Silverstone second).

Cheers,
Dave.

I'd go in at £11.5k.

Then walk away when they laugh at you.

Leave them your phone number and expect a call in a day or two. Then go for £12k inc suspension geo greasing as a non-negotiable part of the deal. Then try and get the 4 piece mats too
